So this BBC article tells us:

Microsoft has joined forces with the developers of the "$100 laptop" to make Windows available on the machines. The move was prompted by countries which demanded the operating system before placing an order.

These days there are too many stupid talent competitions. Starting off with Simon Cowells empire every single of those competitions should be just scrapped from TV. Or, there should be other kind of talent contests. Within the last 10 years I've seen people with lots of talent in programming, art, design, photography ... not only a beautyful body with a pretty face who barely can sing and then use multi-million pound hardware/software to edit the stuff to be nice to listen to.
